 Snack Shack Update

Our Snack Shack is a hit!  Ms. Braid continues to work hard behind the scenes to update our snack program so that we can offer a new selection of healthy snacks for students at school.  We ask that students only take one snack at a time, making sure everyone can take advantage of the program.

Happy Snacking!

Grade 8 End of Year Trip

This year, Worsley is excited to be offering the grade eight students an end-of-year trip opportunity to visit Brock University in St. Catharine’s, Ontario, and participate in leadership development, from May 29-31. Students will be staying in dormitory housing and participating in fun and engaging social events. This is an amazing trip!

The fees for our trip will be divided into installments and our first installment has now been submitted! Our second trip installment will be due at the end of April and will be the same amount as our first per student, $210. We are looking at and discussing fundraising ideas and initiatives with the students and we welcome your thoughts and ideas as we continue to explore and take on ways to help lower trip costs, especially bussing! Please contact your classroom teacher for more information or contact the office to discuss payment plans.

Staffing updates

We are sadly saying goodbye to Jennifer Richard, who has worked tirelessly in our school office this year as our SASE. Jennifer is moving on to the SASE position at Ardagh Bluffs in Barrie. We would like to thank Jennifer and wish her all the best!

With that, we would like to welcome back Stephanie Taylor as SASE at Worsley, effective Monday, March 18, 2024. Stephanie was SASE at Worsley before moving to Baxter, and now we have the pleasure of welcoming Stephanie back to our office team at Worsley!

Lisa Avery in JK/SK has gone on a leave of absence for the remainder of the school year. Dawn Billard has been filling in for her and will continue to do so with Mrs. Milligan until the end of the school year.

Tiffany Kempster will be going on a leave of absence for six weeks after the March Break in our Grade 1/2 class. Barbara Steele, who has filled in for Ms. Kempster and worked with the students in her class before, will continue working with these wonderful students until Ms. Kempster returns.
